Saturday, July 21: Busy day in the arts in Galway. The Forge Festival takes place all day in the Forge Studios, New Road, Galway, featuring open studios, demonstrations, children’e activities, and live music all day. All are welcome and admission is free.

The Westside Arts Festival is also in full swing, based mainly in and around the Westside Community Centre and Library, on the Seamus Quirke Road. And Galway is celebrating Patrick Kavanagh Day in the Columban Hall, Sea Road at 2.00pm.

There’s a full programme in the Galway Fringe Festival, there is a literary event at the Bridge Mills, at 3:00 PM, where poet Jack McCann will read from his new poems.

Another events include a concert by music legend Antonio Breschi in the G Hotel at 8.00pm. It’s all on galwayfringe.ie.

Galway Arts Festival is really busy today and he programme is on galwayartsfestival.com.

One highlight, starting at 2.00pm is a gallery talk by acclaimed artists Brian Maguire and Joe Comerford, in the Absolut Gallery, Galway Shopping Centre. Admission is free and all are welcome.
