Welcome to Galway Culture Night 2012!
On Friday September 21st 2012, locals and visitors across the island of Ireland will enjoy the unique experience of Culture Night, a free night of entertainment, discovery and adventure taking place in a record 30 towns, cities, counties and islands in Ireland. Museums, galleries, churches, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centres will open their doors late into the evening welcoming people of all ages to taste and sample their cultural delights for free on the evening.
Remember so many of the venues open on Culture Night are open for you to enjoy all year round so keep your Culture Night programme handy for use throughout the year as you plan your cultural adventures!
There is no cost to participate and there is no box office profit as all events are free to the public as part of Culture Night.

Culture Night is an initiative co-ordinated by Temple Bar Cultural Trust and supported by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in partnership with Galway City Council.
1. To celebrate Culture Night in Galway, Druid invites you for a very special DruidMurphy open house to coincide with the company’s epic staging of three of Tom Murphy’s greatest plays.
2. This year Culture Night in Galway provides emerging Theatre Companies with the chance to showcase their work on the Town Hall Theatre Main Stage .
3. Culture Night kicks off with a special early event from the Access Music Project which provides training opportunities for the unemployed musician to obtain the skills and knowledge required to find work in the music industry and in further education.
