Contemplation, an art exhibition being opened in the Town Hall Theatre

poster contemplation (Small)Contemplation, an art exhibition being opened in the Town Hall Theatre on Friday, January 18th at 6:00pm, displays the work of Aine Egan and Hien Cao. Aine is a native of Co. Roscommon and is a student of Fine Art at Limerick Institute of Technology. Hien was born in Vietnam and grew up in Catalonia, Spain. She is a graphic designer and is studying Fine Art at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology.

The exhibition runs from January 18th to February 28th. Contemplation is informed by a broad range of human emotions. Using images from everyday life, a narrative is opened around the depths of human feelings, such as happiness and sorrow. The two artists have two distinctive styles, a variety of techniques and media are used to capture powerful emotive states. Aine uses colour to dramatic effect in her acrylic paintings, while Hien uses a mixture of techniques such as oil painting, collage, plaster of Paris, and monochromes. Both artists show a maturity in their approaches to expressing the human condition.
