Tom Duffy’s Circus

Fair Green
2013 all new production of Tom Duffy’s Circus featuring an array of international and Irish artistes. This fast paced show will keep old and young entertained throughout the 2 hour show. Traditional aspects of the circus are kept alive alongside modern twists and feats. Our animals are an integral part of the show and the tradition of circus in Ireland. Watch as the tigers and lions playfully interact together. Our stallions and ponies are masterfully led through amazing displays. The 2013 production is one of the most awe inspiring circus shows to have ever been seen in Ireland.

 

Dreams & Prayers

Vyvienne Long’s ‘String Collision’ Tour featuring The Balanescu Quartet

An Irish lyricist, a Romanian virtuoso, and a cutting edge all-strings band – what happens when these musical forces collide? Songwriter and cellist Vyvienne Long tours with the world renowned Balanescu Quartet for the first time on Irish shores. Vyvienne has composed original material and arranged her beautifully disarming and intensely personal songs for the newly formed string quintet. “Vyvienne Long has been known for some time as a boundlessly talented cellist and arranger … she displays all her talent, confidence and humour to fabulous effect…” (Ian Melaney, State)

The March Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering a showcase reading for Skylight 47 probably Ireland’s most interesting poetry publication with SPECIAL GUESTS TONY CURTIS & (at the invitation of the editors of Skylight 47) KEVIN HIGGINS and many many more. All contributors to the first issue of Skylight 47 are invited to come along and read their poem from the magazine. The event will take place at The Kitchen @ The Museum, Spanish Arch, Galway on Friday, March 15th, 8pm. All are welcome. There is no cover charge.
